Introduction

The ADS-80 Air Data System is ahighly reliable, digitally designed system that is built and tested to ARINC accuracy standards.  The system is designed not only to meet the increasingly more stringent requirements for air data accuracy, but also to provide optimal integration and performance with the Collins FCS-85/86, FCS-80, and FCS-65Flight Control Systems.

Your needs

Installing the ADS-80 in your airplane along with a Collins electronic flight instrument system (EFIS) will not only provide excellent display of flight parameters but will also give a new dimension to the cockpit layout; it will look more functional, more professional.

Your benefits

  • Altimeter has single barometric display that shows either inHg or millibars.
  • Preselector/alerter has optional 2-speed preselect knob.
  • Altitude preselect with automatic SSEC and baroset correction.
  • Mach/airspeed indicator provides 2-digit Mach readout (MSI-80 only)
  • Each instrument has built-in self-test circuits to increase pilot’s assurance of normal operation.
  • Air Data Computer self-test for maintenance verification/pilot confidence check.
  • Continuous monitoring of all computer functions and instruments for increased system integrity.

Product Description

The ADS-80 Air Data System is a combination of sensors, a computer, and instruments that display parameters associated with the air mass (altitude, airspeed, Mach number, vertical speed, and air temperature). The system also supplies this data to the flight control system, navigation system, warning system, and other subsystems.
