Introduction

Installation of an arrester block cushion onto the upper surface of the forward divan cabinet, which allows the removal of an existing restriction on the occupation of the forwardmost seating position on the side facing divan, The change also removes existing placards which limited the seat position as “Not to be occupied during Taxi. Take-off or Landing”.

Your needs

Head Impact Criteria (HIC) stay-out zone defined by the manufacturer has been shown to be based on incorrect testing results. Subsequently, the divan manufacturer has undertaken further testing to JAR25.562 requirements (witnessed by FAA, Transport Canada & EASA) with an alternative type of installation. As a result of the new testing, the HIC stay-out zone has been further revised allowing the forwardmost seat position on the divan to be occupied for taxi, take-off, landing and turbulent conditions. This design change will introduce a “booster block” cushion, permanently attached to the divan forward cabinet upper surface to comply with JAR25.562 Head Impact Criteria requirements.

Installation of the “booster block” cushion will permit the removal of placards which limited the forwardmost seat position to ensure that it was not to be occupied for taxi, take-off, landing and turbulent conditions.
